Truck Driver Hours of Service New Rules Published December 22, 2011 The Most Significant Provisions Effective July 1, 2013 They Are: –Mandatory Rest Break Every 8 Hours –Limitations on the 34 Hour Restart Provision Can Be Used Only Once a Week Must Include Two Nighttime Periods Changes Will Impact Productivity, Capacity, Scheduling, Flexibility and Cost
