9 Isaac God wanted to test Abraham’s faith ◦ Ordered him to sacrifice his only son ◦ Abraham new he had to listen, because we have to listen to God more than one’s family ◦ Abraham took Isaac to sacrifice him and just before he did it, an angel stopped him ◦ God rewarded Abraham by renewing the covenant through Isaac
