3.  the effect of mitigation is irrelevant to water managers because they have to adapt short-term  it should be more focus on non-structural measures water and climate models needs be linked  economic instruments need to be consistently applied in particular in the context of legal instruments  planning needs to take into account human behavior motivated by self interest  optimization the use of limited and valuable water resources to meet changing water demands

4. Session 5 Funding is a challenge, We cannot expect much from international funds => governments obligations Potential opportunities from upgrading existing systems

5.  Guidance should be further developed on: - participatory approach e.g.health aspects among others, etc. - financial issues need to implement case studies, in particular for the transboundary cooperation - solidarity in sharing risks and cost issues

6. Important finding: With regard to measures concerning adaptation to climate change we are still at the beginning of the implementation process
