Relay For Life and ACS CAN Relayers have supported ACS CAN at a high level. In FY09, High Plains Relayers: Raised over $54,000 (No. 1 in the country) Recruited over 3,200 members (No. 2 in the country)

We CAN continue to fight cancer! Achievements through the partnership between Relay For Life and ACS CAN: Increased federal funding for research; Improved access to screening and treatment programs; Protected our children from the dangers of tobacco; and Succeeded in making workplaces smoke-free.

ACS CAN and Research ACS CAN has the potential to dramatically influence how the war on cancer is waged … adding BILLIONS of dollars for research at a time. In fact, Congress put an $10 Billion more into research funding. Relayers and CAN Members: Our Voice Was Heard!

ACS CAN and Clean Indoor Air As of today, over 70 percent of the US population is covered under strong smoke-free laws for many workplaces, bars, and restaurants. People shouldn’t need to choose between their health and a paycheck. Relayers and CAN Members: Our Voice Was Heard!

ACS CAN and Tobacco Relayers sent 18,000 messages to Congress, urging passage of strong regulation of tobacco products – including the marketing of cigarettes – to keep Big Tobacco from harming our youth. After 10 years of FIGHTING BACK… Relayers and CAN Members: Our Voice Was Heard!

ACS CAN and Prevention ACS CAN members and Relayers are making sure that people have access to screening, treatment, and prevention programs such as those for colon, cervical, and breast cancer. We FIGHT BACK so more people can get the life-saving programs they need. Relayers and CAN Members: Our Voice Will Be Heard!

ACS CAN and Access to Care ACS CAN members and Relayers are fighting for the health care needs of cancer patients. Because of the strong work we have accomplished, we have earned a seat at the table to make sure the voices of patients, caregivers, and family members will be heard…
