Born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England Baptized on April 26, 1564 Researchers put his birth on April 23

William Shakespeare At 18, he married Anne Hathaway, who was 8 years older than him. They had 3 children together Susanna Hamnet and Judith (twins)

William Shakespeare In 1585 he became part owner of a play company called Lord Chamberlain’s Men. The name was later changed to King’s Men after King James I gave the company a royal patent.

William Shakespeare 1585-1592 know as the ”lost years”. Researchers have found no information on what Shakespeare did during this time.

William Shakespeare The Globe was built in 1599. This is where most of Shakespeare’s plays were performed. This was a round theatre. The pit was where the poorer people stood. People were allowed to eat and drink during performances.

William Shakespeare He acted in his own plays. Women were not allowed to act so the women parts were played by young boys.
