Mystery Activity Was Emily Davison’s death deliberate?

This lesson you will Work as a group to reach a decision about the death of Emily Davison in June 1913 Show your reasoning. What strategy have you used to answer the question? How and why did you reach your decision? Be in position to produce an extended piece of writing in answer to the question.

Task 1 The dark blue packs of card contain key terms and their definitions. In your group attempt to match each term to the correct definition. Individually, write down 9 terms you are confident you would get correct when read the definition. Write each term in a separate square of the table you have been given. As the definitions are read out cross off the term if you have written it on your sheet.

Task 2 Put the definition cards away. Now open the new set of cards. In your group prepare an answer to the following question: - Was Emily Davison’s death deliberate?
