doc.: IEEE 802.11-11/1422r0 November 2011 Jonghyun Park, LG Electronics Inc. Submission Abstract In this submission, we propose a minor change of 11ah channelization of Korea: –Shift right by 0.5 MHz the current whole channelization graphic for Korea 917 [MHz]923 1 MHz 2 MHz 4 MHz Current: 1 MHz 2 MHz 4 MHz 917.5 [MHz]923.5 Proposed: Shift by 0.5 Slide 2

doc.: IEEE 802.11-11/1422r0 November 2011 Jonghyun Park, LG Electronics Inc. Submission S1G Unlicensed band in Korea The unlicensed band 917 MHz – 923.5 MHz is assigned for –RFID devices and Wireless Sensor Networks. RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) and USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) must share the spectrum in 917 MHz – 923.5 MHz in Korea IEEE802.11ah belongs in the same category as USN in Korea Slide 3

doc.: IEEE 802.11-11/1422r0 November 2011 Jonghyun Park, LG Electronics Inc. Submission Sharing conditions for RFID and USN Channel plan for USN –Occupied bandwidth: No restriction (≤ 6.5MHz ) –Frequency offset tolerance: ±40 ppm –Maximum Power: 10 mW EIRP except RFID tag channels, 3 mW EIRP in RFID tag channels RFID tag channels : CH 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18 Sharing conditions for RFID and USN –LBT (Listen Before Transmission) Carrier sensing time ≥ 5 ms Carrier sensing level = -65dBm Transmission duration ≤ 4 second Pause duration ≥ 50 ms –Duty Cycle: Below 2% in 20 sec duration Slide 5
