Cousiño-Macul HERITAGE: – Cousiño-Macul is the oldest family business in Chile, and has been committed to the production of high quality wines for 156 years. – Our pre-phylloxera vines are a unique heritage, which has been carefully preserved through our massal selection program. This helps us produce wine with a distinct character. – These vines have been adapting to our Alto Maipo terroir for more than 1 century. – Our sustainable farming policy is not only a responsibility towards our environment but also to our future generations. – Ever since its establishment, Cousiño-Macul has introducing leading winemaking technology. For Cousiño-Macul, innovation is heritage.

The soil is thin and rocky in the higher parts of the slopes to deeper and more fertile towards the flat valley. The Maipo Valley has more than 4 centuries of wine history and more than 150 years of quality winemaking. Maipo Valley is located within the Central Valley wine region and includes all provinces of the metropolitan area of Santiago. Alto Maipo As the snow melts in the spring and summer, the Andes mountains provide an ample source of pure and fresh water to irrigate the vineyards.

Cousiño-Macul TERROIR: – It is widely known that the best Cabernet Sauvignons, Merlots and Syrahs of Chile come from Alto Maipo. – The synergy reached by the combination of priceless genetic heritage and the exceptional qualities of the soil allows us to produce wines of undeniable excellence.

Cousiño-Macul WINEMAKING – Our cellars provide our winemakers with up to date technology and optimal working conditions to produce full range of high quality wines. – We are customer oriented, producing wines with high concentration of fruit (red berries) and mature and sweet tannins. Our Wines

Isidora Sauvignon Gris This rare grape variety originally came from the Graves region of Bordeaux. The grapes produce a wine with intense aromas of wildflowers and citrus fruits.

Antiguas Reservas Chardonnay This is an appealing, well-structured Chardonnay with generous aromas of toast, honey and ripe tropical fruits.

Classic Line This unoaked Chardonnay is delightfully fresh and expressive, with vibrant aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. Merlot With a brilliant ruby colour and attractive, smoky berry flavours on bouquet and palate, this smooth red wine is ripe and medium bodied. Chardonnay An intense, youthful ruby in colour, this wine displays lovely scents of ripe blackcurrants and spices. Smooth and complex in the mouth, it shows good fruit and soft tannins. Finis Terrae This wine is made from a blend of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah produced by Cousiño Macul. Lota Lota is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It is a seductive wine, with great body and elegant tannins. It has been aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months.
