Regional Factors ◦ Altitude Higher altitudes usually mean colder temperatures ◦ Bodies of Water Water warms up slower than air, but stays warm longer ◦ Mountain Barriers The west side of mountain ranges tend to be warmer and experience more rain. The eastern side tends to be drier and cooler.

First, read pages 36 and 37 in your text book. Climate Regions of Canada Second, using the map you will be given, define and colour the Climate Regions of Canada. Remember to include the legend on your map and explain how climate regions might affect where people choose to live in Canada.
