2. Unit Plan  In this unit students need to achieve the basic information of cell cycle. The concepts students will be cleared by introducing the terminologies related to the cell cycle, basic theme of the unit, how cells divide and replicate to grow into entirely new individual. Various animations related to cell cycle will be shown. By using internet resource.  Student will act as a biologist that can able define the role of cell cycle and division by using different real world slides and model charts. Students need to show their research in front of their Parents, their teachers and to other class fellows.  This is for grade 9,10 students to enable them to understand the importance of cell cycle in daily life.  Unit plan ppt, animated movies from internet will be use as resource. Student should make animated diagrams using ppt, activities,2-D projects and role play will be done by the students that can help them to grasp their concepts more easily.  In the end presentation will be takes which will be assessed by rubrics or scoring checklists. Product will be the strengthen concepts related the topic. They can able to communicate properly within the class, think critically and learn to use technology tools more effectively. Rising, applying and collaborating new ideas to others.Being open and responsive to new and diverse perspectives

4. Phases of Cell cycle:  G1:Gap one  Active phase before cell division. Cell increase I size produce RNA and protein are formed.  Go Phase :  Cell may remain metabolically active, quit dividing. This phase may be temporary or permanent.  S Phase:  Duplication and synthesis of DNA and all the essential material required for cell division.  G 2:Gap two  Preparing cell for division. Cell continues to grow and produce proteins.  M phase:  Division of cells during this parent cells divide in to daughter cells.

Student Objectives/Learning Outcomes  Students will able to learn cell cycle, its components and how it proceed.  How cell divide to grow in to new individual.  Students will Evaluate different diagrams and integrate features comes from their ideas into their own design.  Students will bring forth their creativity in form of animations and ppt they made by using technology tools.

6. Technology Standards:  Clarify the concept of cycle by designing an activity in the class.  Describe the important phases of cell cycle. i.e.; M phase, G1, G 2, G o Phase and S phase by diagrams.  Show animated movie to clarify the concept of how cell cycle proceed.  Activity: Role play given to student in for each phase play and give them few soft balls made up of clay. To clear the concept of division and getting same copies.  Design 2-D project on chart paper to show the cell cycle and is components.  Experiment with egg, taking egg white as cytoplasm and egg yolk as nucleus.  Student will make animated diagram of the whole process by using power point.  Students will present all the outcomes from activities and tasks in the form of ppt.  Students able to brainstorm their ideas and creativity and assessed by teacher.
