2 POTD My number is a 2 digit number that is between 30 and 40. It has 4 factors that are less than 10 and 2 factors that are greater than 10. What is my number? How do you know?

3 Guided Practice Let’s Complete this Frayer Model in your notebook for the word Geometry 

4 Independent Practice Chose 2 words from the list and complete a Frayer Model. Point line line segment ray Angle acute angle obtuse angle right angle parallel lines perpendicular lines

5 Math Club/Making and Comparing Fractions
Directions: Work with a partner to play the following game: Each partner will select two digit cards. Use those 2 numbers to create a fraction and record it in your notebook (It can be improper if you choose). Then, compare your fraction to your partner’s fraction using <, >, or =. You must draw a model for each comparison <

7 POTD Draw the following: A shape with 4 sides and 2 obtuse angles
A shape with 3 sides and all acute angles You may use the Geoboards on the iPads to help you.

8 Homework Review

9 Triangles

10 Classifying by Lengths of Sides
Scalene triangle Isosceles triangle Equilateral triangle

11 Classifying by Angles Acute-angled triangle Right-angled triangle
Obtuse-angled triangle

12 Guided Practice Practice making triangles using the interactive geoboard. Question #1: Is it possible to make a three-sided polygon that is not a triangle? Question #2: Is it possible for a triangle to have two right angles? Question #3: How many different right triangles can be made on the geoboards? Ipad app in the education folder 

13 Independent Complete the Tasks Cards in groups
Make 3 different sized right triangles. Draw them. If a triangle is a right triangle what type of angles are the other two angles? Can you make a triangle that has two sides that are the same length? If you can, draw a few examples. Can you make a triangle that has no sides that are the same length? If you can, draw a few examples. Can you make a triangle with an obtuse angle and a right angle in the same triangle? Can you make a triangle that has all three sides that are the same length? If you can, draw a few examples. Make 3 different sized triangles that have an obtuse angle. If a triangle has an obtuse angle what type of angles are the other two angles? Can you make a triangle that has 2 obtuse angles? Why or why not? Make 3 different sized triangles that only have acute angles. Draw them. If a triangle has a right angle, do the sides of the triangle have to be the same length? If a triangle has a right angle, can all 3 sides have the same length? Can I break apart a straight angle into two obtuse angles? Why or why not? What about two acute angles? Why or why not? Show 3 ways on how to break apart one straight angle into 3 angles.
