2. What is Palm Oil? Palm oil is made from the fruit of the oil palm tree. The palm fruit is both palm oil and kernel oil.

3. How is this bad for the orang-utan habitat and environment? Orang-utan habitats are getting destroyed by palm oil plantations. People want palm oil, they technically go crazy over it!! Palm trees=Palm oil which equals orang- utan habitats are getting destroyed.

4. Too Many Plantations! Of approximately 11 million hectares of palm oil plantations worldwide. In many places, these plantations are taking over rainforests which is the natural habitat of orang-utans.

5. During that past decade the orang-utans population has decreased by approximately 50%.
