Mission The University of Missouri Office Of Technology & Special Projects implements the policies of the Board of Curators to facilitate the transfer of technology developed in the laboratory to the corporate sector for commercialization. This transfer allows the citizens of the State to benefit from the research mission of the University. Goals To fulfill our mission, we must establish ourselves as a support link between the private sector and University researchers. We strive to maintain strong relationships with industry so that we may better identify their needs as well as disseminate information coming out of University laboratories. We must also remain aware of ongoing research and be capable of evaluating the invention disclosures, securing patent protection, marketing the idea and establishing licensing arrangements that benefit both the University and the public.
