7 Grab a marker and read the quotes around the room. What time period do you think this story is set in? How does it make you feel? What does the quote make you question? What do you think the setting will be? What do you learn about the character who said this quote?

14 Model Allsburg’s style and write the sequel to Zathura using one of these illustrations as inspiration. Make it come alive and think about plot as you create your story!
