3  English (1.0)  American Studies (.5)  Math (1.0) › Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 (Regular or Accelerated)  Science (1.0) › Physical Science, Chemistry  PE 2  4.0 Electives **Electives could be study hall, world language, etc.**

4  Graduation Reminders: › Pass Reading, Writing and Math State Tests ›.5 Career Credit › 24 total credits for Standard Diploma

5  Requirements above Standard Diploma: › 26 total credits (not 24) › 2 years of World Language › Through Algebra 2 for Math › 16 academic credits › C or higher in all academic classes › Cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher

6  Requirements above Standard Diploma: › At least 8 eligible courses (all AP courses, most Honors/Advanced/Accelerated, etc.) › Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher › 3 years of the same World Language › 26 total credits (not 24) › Enrolled in minimum of 6 classes each year

14  5 Branches: › Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy  Must have Standard Diploma › Modified Diploma and GED are not accepted  ASVAB test › This year offered at GHS on January 31 st (No School day) › Sign up in counseling center (free!)

15  Work Skills needed: › Timeliness, regular attendance › Able to learn new tasks and perform well › Work well with other people and bosses › Be eager to learn › Willing to accept responsibility  Use of your transcript and/or references

16  Yearly Salaries › Some high school, no diploma  $21,648 › High school diploma  $30,624 › Associate degree  $36,864 › Bachelor’s degree  $50,544 › Master’s, Professional Doctoral  $60,624 - $74,448 People with a Bachelor’s Degree will earn $22,000 more in each year than those without!

17  Check on your credit totals  Look at your GPA/Rank  Look for Ds and/or Fs and develop a plan  Are you on track for Chancellors/Honors Diploma?  What areas need to be improved?
