2. Final Piece You will design a promotional poster for a BBC documentary titled – Art is Beautiful – The Stone Age You must complete your work using Adobe Photoshop. You must use the Layer mask function Some of the images must be your own, either scanned or photographed. Final images should contain the BBC logo and promotional information, integrated into the design – research to help you do this.

3. Creating layer masks File – New – A4 Window – History (should have tick) Turn layers on or off with the Eye. Hover your mouse over tools to get the name/function/keybpard shortcut. The move tool is the arrow + compass, put the cursor over an image and right click using this tool to discover the layer. Type tool – change the font and font size. Select Bold. Open image – Change opacity to 70% Ctrl+T to change the size (hold shift at the same time to keep proportion). Position the image over the letter. Switch back to type layer, select the letter with magic wand. Back to image layer. Change opacity to 100%. Click on layer mask icon. The image must be above the letter, to make a layer mask. Repeat.
