Recognizes that producers use sunlight energy to make sugars from carbon dioxide and water through photosynthesis. This food can be used immediately or stored for later or be used by another organism.
3
Topic Explanation In this power point you will learn about how producers use sunlight to make sugars out of carbon dioxide and water through a process called photosynthesis
4
Photosynthesis The process of converting light energy to chemical energy and storing it in the bonds of sugar. This process occurs in plants and some algae. Plants need only light energy, CO2, and H2O to make sugar. The process of photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast, specifically using chlorophyll, the green pigment involved in photosynthesis.
6
Photosynthesis Made Simple Plants take energy from the sun like solar panels and use the energy to make collected carbon dioxide into oxygen and release the oxygen into the air
