CP1.5 Set up sound exploration play stations Have students go on a scavenger hunt for sounds around the room or perhaps even around the school Variation 1: Outdoor sound scavenger hunt. Students would be scavenging for sounds that exist in nature. Rhythm Warm-up Name game Auditory rhythm development – Students should respond either with their hands or feet, or with a piece of hand percussion Caller gives a rhythm Student response process: Hear it! Say it! Play it! Variation 1: Have students take turns being the “caller.”
