4. Cotton Tail Sylvilagus floridanus Cottontails are herbivores Their predators include owls, hawks, cats, dogs and cars They rest in flat places or burrows built by other animals They can have as many as 35 babies a year!

5. Purple Coneflower Echinacea purpurea Grows 2 to 4 feet tall and blooms in the summer. Prefers moderate moisture Its roots are often used for medicine Attracts butterflies in the summer Seeds feed sparrows and finches in the winter
