A stroke is called brain attack, because it injures the brain. A stroke attacks the brain like a heart attack attacks the heart. A stroke occurs when a part of the brain doesn’t get blood.

Ischemic stroke is the most common stroke. This stroke happens when blood is blocked to the brain. This will often happen when fatty deposits clogs blood or there is a blood clot.

This stroke happens when a blood vessel in the brain bursts, and blood bleeds into the brain. This stroke may cause aneurysm which is a thin or weak spot in an artery in the brain that can blow up into a balloon and burst.

A mini stroke is called a TIA, it happens for a short time, it is a short type of ischemic stroke. What happens is less blood goes to your brain then normal. A mini stroke can last for a couple of minutes or up to a full day. Some mini strokes can lead up to a full stroke.

On my mom’s side of the family many of them died from stroke. My papa died at age sixty- six. The heart and stroke foundation uses the money for research for a cure for stroke.
