10 Purpose of Collaboration To fill the gap and meet the need (aging population) Service enhancement Quality improvement Expertise sharing and building $ saving: to do more with less money Synergy: 1 + 1 > 2

11 SJS-HA Collaboration A multi-service NGO that HQ situated in Wanchai Serve the community in HK East and HK West Joined the HKEC Elderly Service Liaison Committee in 2000 and participated in 10 projects of elderly services Joined similar platform in HKWC and is now participating in 4 projects of elderly services Beneficiaries and targets include the elders with mild to moderate impairment, the carers, discharged patients, volunteers, youth, community people etc

12 Other collaboration projects For other target groups include: –Referral of adolescent and youth from SSW to Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, PYNEC –Projects with QMH U Psy U on Psycho-geriatric Service and Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service –Weight control and dietetic programme for children and adolescent with HKEC
