Review: Why do we NEED energy? Energy helps us in five very valuable ways: 1.) Energy makes things move. 2.) Energy makes heat. 3.) Energy makes light. 4.) Energy makes technology work because it runs electrical devices. 5.) Energy makes things grow.

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but we can….. transform it into other sorts of energy.

The wind flows over the airfoil shaped blades causing lift, like the effect on airplane wings, causing them to turn. The blades are connected to a drive shaft that turns an electric generator to produce electricity. Wind energy to electric energy. Where does the wind come from?

In the past, wind was used to grind grain. In the West it was used to pump water out of the ground. Now wind is used to create electricity.
