Garcia, Angela Urbina, Maria 9 Preliminary DataPreliminary Data 2-8-07 –Started Colonies on 1%,5%,10%, and 20% agar plates. Also began new colonies and placed the older ones in freezer to prevent further growth.

Garcia, Angela Urbina, Maria 11 First Week Results 2-15-07 #31 –1% - lead sized individual colonies with diminutive, small, growth –5% - lumped colonies in a strip line but no individual growth 2-15-07 #32 –1% - diminutive growth better than the 20% –5% - an abundant of tiny colonies sparsely spread

Garcia, Angela Urbina, Maria 13 Other Notes 2-15-07 –The temperature had settled to 30°C on 2-15-07 so we moved it up to the control 37°C. –Conclusion after first week The salinity concentration has no affect on coloration, just on the growth of marinococcus.

Garcia, Angela Urbina, Maria 18 Other Notes 2-21-07 –Temperature was back at 30°C, moved up to the control –No useable image of 1% #31 was taken so 2-22-07 another picture will be collected –Agar has dried out, crystals have formed on most plates
