GeoGebra Activities completed Workshop on GeoGebra by Markus H. (April 11-12, 2008. About 20 participants: teachers of grades 7-12 and university faculty. Six participants take a one-unit course by learning more about resources in Wiki and designing instructional materials, perfecting each others’ work.) One Master’s Project about teaching a unit of high school geometry with GeoGebra

GeoGebra Activities in progress Proposals were submitted for conference presentations by three speakers at the California Mathematics Council’s Southern and Northern Section conferences (Palm Springs, November, 2008 and Asilomar, December, 2008). We will use GeoGebra in two summer courses (algebra and geometry) for prospective high school teachers (impact on about 30 teachers).

GeoGebra Plans for the future Establishment of California IGI (housed at California State University, Fresno) to serve teachers in California, and (via online video- conferencing) in Sri Lanka and Hungary Presentation and dissemination of GeoGebra through the California Mathematics Project’s leadership meetings (23 project sites throughout California)

GeoGebra Plans to promote GeoGebra in: California Mathematics Project (multi-million dollar per year project, funded by the State of California since 1980’s) for teacher leadership and professional development. Lesson Study projects through California Math and Science Partnerships Lesson Study projects with Sri Lankan and Hungarian teachers Teacher preparation programs in the California State University system

GeoGebra Plans to work on: Developing interactive materials for teaching about non-Euclidean geometries algebra and geometry for prospective middle school teachers Using GeoGebra on professional development institutes for in-service teachers
