Calcium is in the Alkaline Earth Metal family.Other elements in its family are Beryllium, Magnesium, Strontium, Barium, and Radium.It’s found in caves around water.

Characteristic Properties The atomic number for calcium is 20 and the atomic mass is 40.08. The melting point is 850°C and the boiling point is 1440°C. The density is 1.55g/cm 3.

Descriptive Properties Calcium is a soft silvery colored metal that reacts with other elements to form a compound.Yet, calcium is soft and is very stable.
