3 3 No part of this document may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted, in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without prior written permission of DAME consortium Deliverables – Expected Outcome  State-of-the-art instrument and forward models for spaceborne Doppler radars suitable to simulate:  a breath of spaceborne Doppler radar configurations including scanning and advance signal processing schemes  complex atmospheric/surface scenes from tranquil stratiform clouds to vigorous deep convection over water or variable land type surfaces  Retrieval models suitable for Doppler motion correction due to antenna mispointing and “target” ID  Doppler performance study for planned (EarthCARE) and future spaceborne Doppler radar missions  All models will be integrated in the EarthCARE Simulator and distributed (via ESA) as a community tool for algorithm development and future feasibility/engineering trade off studies
