4 Topic Chapter titles or sections make great topics. Write the topic at the top of your notes.

6 Questions Look for any headings. Headings or subheadings become questions. Write questions on the left hand side of your notes. If there are no headings, read through each paragraph and decide what the main idea is. Turn the main idea into a question. Write details in the “notes” section on the right hand side.
