Health Status of Bradford ● Bradford is one of the most socially and economically deprived areas in England ● Standard Mortality Rate - 156 inner-city compared with 91 in surrounding districts ● Disability 4.6 per 1000 (c/w 1.3 per 1000 national average) High Incidence of: ● Coronary Heart Disease/Strokes ● Diabetes ● Cataracts ● Asthma ● Thalassaemia
