4. So what? Are we seeking Jesus with this level of commitment? Are we encouraging others to do so? Do we truly see Jesus for who he is? Are we calling people to receive Jesus by faith? Are we content just ministering to them

5. The flow of the discussion How will you prove that you are messiah? I am the bread of life – the true manna The problem is; you don’t believe in me Jesus is doing what God wants; will you? But we know who you are! All that God has given me will come to me and believe in me I’m better than manna The Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing Many disciples left Jesus Jesus has the words of eternal life

6. So what? Jesus is challenging misconceptions and correcting their theology Jesus is pointing them to the ultimate, eternal truths This is all part of God’s plan of salvation We need to feed on Jesus

They needed to understand eternal, spiritual truth They needed to move from formal religion to spiritual life This involves a change of heart They needed a bigger view of God

8. So what? Is our view of God too small? Are we feeding on the living bread daily?

9. Unbelief exposed When they were presented with the real Jesus, many left We cannot come to Jesus unless the Father draws us All those who are called will be saved

10. So what? Works of compassion and love are important and right but… Ultimately we must present people with the challenge to follow Christ in a real way This is God’s work not ours so: Don’t get discouraged Pray

12. Todays take-away Do we as believers take seriously our need and responsibility to “feed on the living bread” In our building bridges, showing the love of Christ and serving the community, we must never lose sight of our responsibility to point people to the real Jesus.
