ISD-MASP-S03018 Rev.2 Copyright © Yokogawa Electric Corporation October,2003 R3.04 New Features Page.19 CS3000 FIO Installation Environment FIO can be installed closely near field devices to reduce wiring cost. –High speed remote I/O node can be used. (10Mbps) FIO node comforts to NI (Non-incendive) of CSA standard at Class 1, Div. 2 and environmental standard ISA G3. FIO node is complied the Type N of CENELEC Zone2 FIO node can install the place with the wide range temperature (-20 deg C to 70 deg C) FIO modules with built-in Barrier.

At R3.03, we provide the new I/O modules with built-in barrier. –Total installation cost can be reduced. External barriers are not needed. As FIO nodes can be put on Zone2 areas, field wiring cables can be shorten. This is the world-first solution of redundant IS.
