2 How to navigate (move) Terrestrial navigation is the ability to navigate or move on earths surface using known objects. Like landmarks (stop signs, buildings) when explained how to get somewhere.

3 How would you tell someone to get to the Nice and Easy in Brewerton, from the high school?
Turn right on route 11 (south) continue for 7 miles, go over the bridge. Continue for another mile stop at light. Turn left at light continue ¾ mile on left.

Measures how far North you are in the northern hemisphere Angle of Polaris equals your latitude. Astrolabe Instrument used to measure the angle of a star.

6 Earths magnetic field Earth is like a giant bar magnet.
These fields can be used to locate north and south using a compass.
