SSPPS Research Retreat January 8, 2015, Martin Johnson House, SIO Goals:  Develop new collaborative research among SSPPS faculty.  Develop translational collaborations in drug discovery/development.  Identify strengths of SSPPS faculty for graduate education and pharmacy education in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy.  Increase knowledge of faculty interests and capacities to build cohesive group dynamics at SSPPS.

2. Collaborative Research Planning  Foster new collaborative research programs for extramural grant funding, especially between clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences faculty.  Opportunities: Translational Research: Bedside to bench & Bench to bedside Research Training:Graduate education Pharmacy education Postdoc education  Others! Prizes for Collaborative Research Proposals Proposal:strictly 1 page maximum Format:- Title - Faculty to be involved in the collaboration - Abstract of the research topic with indication of the concept & opportunity, specific aims, and impact - Grant opportunity(ies) planned including agency, type application (e.g. R01, R21 etc) and submission dates - How will pilot funds will facilitate development of the project Submission by: 20 January 2015
