Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe and disabling brain disorder. Schizophrenia usually begins in early adulthood around the age of 18 for men and 25 for women.

Schizophrenia can never be fully be cured but it can be treated with medication called antipsychotics. Antipsychotics medicines have many affects such as calming, reducing but can take up to 4 weeks for the medications to work.

Teens with schizophrenia have a 50% chance of committed suicide. The estimated number of U.S citizens with Schizophrenia is over 2.2 million.
