1921 Philo T. Farnsworth, at age 14, has a vision of electronic TV scanning while plowing hay. 1935 Germany begins the "first television broadcasting service in the world". Low resolution, few receivers.

The time period after World War-II is considered the birth of television. Families had saved money during the war years, and wanted to buy homes, cars and other luxuries denied them during the war. Video Technology is changing and evolving so quickly, in sixth months there will be something new. In the four years I have been teaching Video at Maple, I have seen four different versions of cameras and software. It is exciting to imagine what will be next year and the year after!
