3. What’s The Difference Between Office 365 and Installed Office Programs?  It’s In the cloud. Microsoft Office 365 is "in the cloud" from two perspectives. First, installed software is only available on the physical machine. The cloud version is available anywhere the student can get internet access. Second, the office suite itself is set up to save documents to the cloud in a personal account called SkyDrive. Cloud users still have the option to save files locally, but the cloud version integrates tightly with SkyDrive.

5. What’s The Difference Between Office 365 and Installed Office Programs?  Office 365 in the Cloud is and will be the latest software versions; users and school personnel do not deal with updates or hardware capability issues. Microsoft takes care of software updates for its Cloud versions.

7. Go To SAISD’s Instructional Technology’s Website http://nova.saisd.net

8. Click on the Student Email (Office 365) Link In the left column called “Campus Technology Tools”, click on the second link, “Student Email”.

9. Office 365 Login Screen This Office 365 login screen is correct for both student email and Office 365.

10. Use The Student Login Students will use their SAISD login and password in the space provided, and then click the “Sign In” button.

11. Student Email Account The first screen is an email window. Students may or may not have email showing, depending on whether they’ve been using it.

12. Who wants to use email to  Communicate with teachers  Communicate with Colleges and Universities  Perform EDUCATIONAL tasks

13. Your Students! Please enable and encourage them!

14. From the email portal, find the SkyDrive link Click!

15. Wait…wait for the screen to load….wait for it…wait….

16. Click on the New Document link or My Documents for an existing one to begin.

17. Use Office 365 to Use SkyDrive to  View and create any Office document  Store and retrieve your documents
