9. January 1 – April 1 The FAFSA is available from January 1 st through April 1 st. The state starts dividing up the money after April 1 st. March 1 MIZZOU, MISSOURI STATE, SEMO, MISSOURI WESTERN, UMKC, UMSL, UCM, WILLIAM WOODS Many universities have a deadline of March 1 st. Be sure to check with the school you have applied to. TAXES If you cannot complete your taxes by these deadlines, you can file your FAFSA with an estimation from your W2 or last year’s tax return, then correct your FAFSA after filing.
