Daruma A Japanese good luck symbol It stands for the spirit of courage and determination Constructed as a folk art doll so that no matter how it is tipped, it reverts to the upright position Often given when an individual starts something new Invites personal goal setting; paint one eye when a goal is set and the other when it has been met What is your goal for this course? Think, decide, and record it on the back of your “doll”. Color in one eye.
