Who are the mentors? Expertise on: – Water governance – Gender and social justice – Socio-economic and political aspects of water, land, and dam management Showing interest to mentor fellows Having time to closely supervise and monitor fellow in their field One mentor could work with either one or two fellows

Roles of mentor (I) Revised proposal: to provide advice to fellow/s to improve and finalize their revised proposals. Methodology: to assist the fellows in their overall methodological thinking and regularly consult to confirm a research plan. Mentor also supports fellow readings to improve proposal and report writing

Roles of mentor (II) Data collection and Analysis: to provide specific suggestions on methodology such as field observations, sampling, interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, participation and analysis, etc.

Roles of mentors (III) Report Writing: to assist fellows in the development, review and refining of their research report, conference paper, and policy brief paper. Academic insight: to provide the fellow with key reading references as well as contacts that might be helpful, if needed.

How to work with fellow? Online Face to face if any Visiting fellow’s research site

Roles of fellows Revise research design and send to project coordinator, who will send to your proposed mentor for comment and suggestion Submit midterm and final reports, conference paper, and policy brief with correction according to mentor’s comments and suggestion Taking mentor to the research site

Deliverables and Timeline – July 6 th 2015: Submit full research design – July 14 th 2015: Submit full literature review – End of July: Mentor confirmed and feedback received – End of Jan 2016: Mid-term research report and financial report; First blog by this date – End of June 2016: Submit policy brief and conference paper – End of Sept 2016: Final research report and financial report. Second blog by this date. – Oct 2016: WLE Forum on Food Water Energy (Yangon)
