4 Presentation Objectives Teachers will become familiar with the “Command Center: Manage classes” functions.  editing pages and uploading documents, or images  Teachers will be able to utilize this as a “How To” guide for populating the “News and Calendar” pages of their “My Classes” folder.

5 Focus of Presentation Command Center: Manage Class  Editing class pages  Importing and uploading documents, or images My Classes Folder  Populating your classes’ Calendar with assignments and events  Adding News, or RSS Feeds

6 Using My Class Folder  Personalizing a Class page  Select a class from the menu  Select Manage Class the Command Center  Edit the page, or  Browse your files for image or clip art to upload  Click save when done  Suggestion: file size less then 1MB

7 My Classes: Calendar Events  Click “Calendar” and type the assignment in the Document Title field.  Select the “Event Type” and enter the date.  For recurring assignments, click “Event Recurrence” and enter end date.  If Assignments/Events apply to other classes, click “save and return”

8 Calendar Events…”save & return”  For other classes effected scroll to “Multiple Postings”  Select other classes from “Available Groups” list and click add  Documents, spreadsheets, etc. may be uploaded by “Adding Content”  When done click “save and add another” button

9 Class News:  Select a class from the menu  Click the edit icon for “News”  Click Add and fill in the summary information  Note: Event Recurrence and Multiple Postings may again be relevant options  News may display as an announcement on the Welcome Page  Click “Done” before existing this page

10 My Classes: News..cont  Select a class from the menu  Click the edit icon for “News”  Click the arrow in the drop down “news” menu  Note the Link and RSS Feed features  Add the intended item and complete the Summary Information  Enter the Summary Information and Url  Save before exiting the page

11 Success!  Continue to populating your classes’ Calendar with assignments and events  Add more News, or RSS Feeds  Upload more documents by using the “Add Content” feature  And return to the Command Center: Manage Class to edit your classes pages by Mrs. C. Davis
