6. Very Late Prophase nuclear membrane has disappeared chromosomes start to move to the equator of the cell each chromosome has two identical chromatids

7. Metaphase chromosomes align along the equator of the cell spindles that are attached to the poles connect to the centromeres

8. Early Anaphase chromosomes are pulled to the poll by the contraction of the spindle fibers chromatids are separated at the centromere

9. Late Anaphase chromosomes begin to congregate at the poles the energy for this process if provided by the mitochondria

10. Early Telophase the new cell wall begins to form to separate the new cell the chromosomes begin to form a nucleus

11. Late Telophase the chromosomes start to uncoil and become less dense two new identical cells are formed
