3 M RS. W ILSON ’ S SITUATION Mrs. Wilson is an enthusiastic teacher who uses a variety of technology tools in the delivery of her lesson. However she found that even though she prepared well for a particular class using a wall chart and video presentation only four (4) of the twenty-four (24) students were actively particularly in the lesson.

4 M RS. W ILSON ’ S SITUATION The other students did not pay much attention. Some were clearly bored while many of them were observed fanning with their exercise books.

5 S UGGEST THREE LIKELY REASON FOR THIS RESPONSE FROM THE STUDENTS The chart wasn’t appealing or captivating The classroom was too hot The video quality was poor

7 The classroom was too hot In order to resolve the issue of heat in the classroom an air conditioning unit or wall/standing fans can be used to provide a cool environment so that students can be more comfortable P ROPOSE A TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTION FOR EACH OF THE REASONS

12 D IVERSE LEARNERS As we know the classroom consist of students with diverse learning abilities. As facilitators it is critical that lessons are prepared in order to cater for all the learning styles within the classroom.

21 V IDEO P RESENTATION This video caters to the audio and visual learning styles of the students within the classroom. The video was presented in a colourful format using animations and pictures covering the content of the topic.

22 W ALL C HART PRESENTATION The wall chart catered for the visual learners of the classroom as colourful pictures were displayed covering the content of the lesson.

23 H ANDS ON ACTIVITY The hands on activity catered to the kinesthetic learners. Here they were able to put in practice what they have learnt from the content presented.
