How to Draw 3D Figures Cube, Cylinder, Cone, Rectangular Pyramid
2
1)Draw the front square. 2)Draw the back square. Place it a little to the right and above the front square. Dash the back lines to indicate that they are hidden. 3)Connect the front and back squares. Dash the bottom, left side to indicate it is hidden. Cube
3
Cylinder 1)Draw the “smile”. 2)Draw the reflection of the “smile”. Dash the arc to indicate that it is hidden. 3)Draw the sides. 4)Draw the top.
4
Cone 1)Draw the bottom of a cylinder. (Previous slide). 2)Draw the center of the bottom. 3)Draw the a point over the center. 4)Connect the points to indicate the height. Dash the height to indicate that it is inside. 5)Connect the sides to the top.
5
Rectangular Pyramid 1)Draw a parallelogram. If the pyramid is a square pyramid, then make the parallelogram a rhombus. Dash the hidden lines. 2)Draw the “center” of the parallelogram. 3)Draw the a point over the center. 4)Connect to the vertices of the parallelogram to the point at the top. Dash the back line to indicate it is hidden.
6
Triangular Prism 1)Draw the front triangle. 2)Draw the back triangle. Place it a little to the right and above the front square. Dash the back lines to indicate that they are hidden. 3)Connect the front and back triangles. Dash the bottom, left side to indicate it is hidden.
