6 Plusses and Minuses from Division Changes Division One (PHRF -29 – 30) Plus Finished tied in scoring after throw outs. Very close competition 3 of 4 boats had a 1 st place Minus 3-4 boats typical attendance

7 Plusses and Minuses from Changes Division Two (PHRF 63– 93) Plus Finished tied in scoring after throw outs. Six different boats won races 8 of 11 boats placed during season Our biggest and most competitive division Minus None

8 Plusses and Minuses from Changes Division Three (PHRF 120– 134) Plus Finished tied in scoring after throw outs. Minus Inconsistent turnout let to small fleets occasionally

9 Plusses and Minuses from Changes Division Four (PHRF 174+) Plus Very Close Racing Minus Only 3 boats consistently sailed.

10 Plusses and Minuses from Changes Division Five non Spin Plus Five of Nine boats had 1 st place Minus Attendance inconsistent

11 Plusses and Minuses from Changes Division Six Melges Plus Tight racing Consistent turnout Largest Melges 24 fleet in the Midwest Minus Rating if wind strength allows for plane. Overall 44 boats registered, Average of 28.5 boats participating, High of 35 boats (multiple weeks)

13 Weekend Racing Participation has been TERRIBLE Craig Powell Event & Governors Cup the exception Poor Value for Sponsors Need to get more sponsorship involvement Need to provide more recognition and support to sponsors Bud Ainsworth is new Rear Commodore Need a new Regatta Chairman Each event must have a Champion Event Champions and Chairman will be Regatta Committee

14 Weekend Racing Ideas: Consolidate to 3 Weekends? Add Cruising Divisions? Women’s Regatta Junior involvement? Promote more both internally and externally? Coordinated onshore activities? Encourage more travel to Holland Grand Haven to encourage them to come to our events
