Solid Liquid Gas Groove
2
Properties Solid, liquid, and gas Properties Break ’em down to the smallest elements you can
3
Now’s it’s time to learn some chemistry Solid, liquid, gas and their properties. First we need to know about the formulas though like water’s formula reads H 2 O
4
You read the formulas from your left to your right with the letters representing the atomic type
5
Each water molecule has two hydrogen atoms, can’t see with your eyes, hard to phantom. To the H atoms one oxygen bonds. It’s called a water molecule. Now let’s move on.
6
Properties Solid, liquid, and gas Properties Break ’em down to the smallest elements you can
7
There are a few more properties here to learn I’ll name the substance then its your turn to say if it’s a liquid, solid or gas And make up in your mind what atoms they have
8
Oxygen – gas Iron – solid Helium – gas Water – liquid Nitrogen - gas Sugar – solid CO 2 - gas
9
Properties Solid, liquid, and gas Properties Break ’em down to the smallest elements you can
10
Chemical formulas still havin’ a doubt, use the periodic table and check it out Break down the formula you need to know into its elements and give the table a go
