In this unit, we will be discussing many aspects of colors. We will be learning to: Identify the 3 primary colors Identify the 3 secondary colors Identify objects associated with colors Identify emotions, moods, behaviors Identify black and white colors Read and write the names of each color

Secondary colors are made up of mixing the three primary colors, for example: When you mix RED and BLUE you get VIOLET When you mix YELLOW and RED you get ORANGE When you mix BLUE and YELLOW you get GREEN

When riding in a car we see traffic signs or lights › Red means “STOP” › Yellow means “YIELD” › Green means “GO”

When someone is mad or angry, we usually associate them with the color red When someone is sad or down, we usually associate them with the color blue

Black is actually not considered a color, it doesn’t emit or reflect light. White is a color, it emits and reflects light. When mixing black with another color, the color will become darker. When mixing white with another color, the color will become lighter.
