2. John Owen, Rockport Fulton HS2 Objective This unit of study is designed to introduce the novice computer science student to the concept of number bases in general and to the computer number bases (2, 8, and 16) in particular.

4. John Owen, Rockport Fulton HS4 Counting, Place Value It introduces the basic idea of counting in different bases and the place value system, associating it with the familiar base 10 system.
