2. My Family My ancestors came to this country from different countries. My Dad’s side of the family all came from Poland. My moms side of the family is a mixed bag

3. Dad’s Family – His father’s side In 1890 my great-great grandfather, Isidor Sabinski moved to Michigan. He came from Krakow Poland. He moved here as a chemist to develop paint products. He first moved to Detroit. Then he moved to Hamtramck. Hamtramck is a polish city outside the city of Detroit.

4. Dad’s Family – His mother’s side In 1903 my great grandfather, Wladyslw Ciolek, came to this country from Krakow, Poland. He was five years old when he arrive at Ellis Island and moved to Stamford, Connecticut. His family brought him to America so they could have a better life. When he grew older he started E&B Brewing company and then owned a bowling alley called Fantasy Lanes. My great grandmother, Genevieve Michalski, moved to Pinconning, Michigan in 1906 when she was three years old. Her family came to America to make a better living. She married Walter had four children and worked with him at the feed store.

5. Mom’s Family – Her Father’s side In 1890 my great-great grandmother Josephine Kingsley moved. She moved to Pittsburg Pennsylvania. When Josephine was very young her mother died of childbirth and her father died of a unknown cause. She came from Baden Germany.

6. Mom’s Family – Her Mother’s side In 1900, or the turn of the century, my great grandmother, Elizabeth Kiska, moved to Gloversville, New York. She landed at Ellis Island. She came from Vienna, Austria. When she was a young girl her mother died of Tuberculosis. She and her father moved to Vienna from the Slovenian border.
