4 Two Streams 1.Stream A Schools using English as the MOI in ALL classes and subjects (13 participating schools) 2.Stream B Schools using English as the MOI in SOME classes and subjects (6 participating schools)

5 Requirements  Participating schools should opt for their preferred stream for competitions.  Participating schools should: - assign at least one teacher to be the adjudicator(s) for the competitions; - provide their school hall at least once as venue for the competitions; and - suggest at least 3 motions for the competitions. 

6 Requirements  Each debating team should:  - consist of three debaters and one to three stand-by members.  - have a teacher who acts as the coordinator.  4.Team members are preferably students of Secondary 3 or above.

12 Venue Arrangements  Participating schools should provide their school halls at least once for use as venue for the Preliminaries up to the Semi-Finals.  Their students and teachers will be responsible for the competition arrangements such as the seating plan and appointment of a Master of Ceremony.

13 Adjudicators  Host schools should provide ONE adjudicator  Two other adjudicators will be arranged by the Organizing Committee

14 Team Awards  Certificates will be awarded to the winning team of each round of the debating competition.  A trophy will be awarded to the Champion Team and certificates will be awarded to the First Runners Up Team, the Second Runners Up Team and the Third Runners Up Team. 

15 Individual Awards  Certificates will be awarded to the best debater of each round of the debating competition.  Trophies will be awarded to the best two debaters of the Grand Final.
