What is the description of the career? A Registered Nurse (RN), helps people, families, and groups to achieve health and prevent disease. They care for the sick and injured in hospitals and other health care facilities, physicians’ offices, private homes, public health agencies, schools, camps, and industry.

How is science, technology, engineering, or math important in this career? Math is important to be a RN, by measuring how much medicine the sick or injured person needs, sometimes they need to measure the person to see how tall or how much that person weighs, and if a women comes in pregnant, and is in labor the RN needs to know how many centimeters they are and how long they have been in labor.

How does this career help or improve people’s lives? An RN helps people by saving their life and helps with the Doctor's patients. They also help with the patient if the doctor is sick or can’t be in the room at that time.

What are some interesting facts about this career? RN stands for (Registered Nurse) RN’s help people who are sick, injured, or in need of medical help. RN’s are very helpful to doctors because they could need assistance because they might have their hands full, and while they are treating patients, the RN’s could be getting their medicine, and that could be a lot faster for them.
