L EARNING O BJECTIVES Students will be able to identify which parts of the body match up with each of the five senses. Students will be able to identify each of the five senses. Students will know the difference between each of the five senses.

E SSENTIAL Q UESTIONS What are the five senses? Which part of the body is each of these five senses associated with?

A CTIVITIES Each day students will work on a worksheet for a specific sense. (5 senses covered over 5 days.) Students will participate in hands on experimental learning to put their knowledge of each of the senses to the test.

TEKS §112.11. Science, Kindergarten (a) Introduction (4) In Kindergarten, students observe and describe the natural world using their five senses (b) Knowledge and skills (4) Scientific investigation and reasoning. The student uses age-appropriate tools and models to investigate the natural world. The student is expected to: (B) use senses as a tool of observation to identify properties and patterns of organisms, objects, and events in the environment.
